Breed Description:

The Zuchon breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Bichon Frise with the Shih Tzu.  Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next.  Generally, the Zuchon will have qualities of both parents. They are often described as a teddy bear dog since they resemble one so completely. The breed is a toy sized breed with a compact and robust build that is slightly longer than they are tall. They usually have a curled tail and small ears that hang down the side of hte head.  The muzzle is short, giving them the teddy bear look.

The coat of the Zuchon usually consists of a double coat with a soft, short undercoat and a fluffy topcoat that is medium in length and very soft. The coat can be found in any color or marking but the common color is white with or without markings that are brown, gray or black in color.

Temperament:
The Zuchon breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. However, they are known for being an affectionate and loyal family dog that usually gets along well with everyone. In addition, the Zuchon is very versatile and will usually adapt to their owner's lifestyle. They are usually very playful and are often described as having a clown-like personality that is sweet and always makes people laugh. They do very well with children and also thrive in multi-dog and multi-pet homes.

Living Conditions:
The Zuchon breed of dog is versatile when it comes to living conditions and they can live in both apartments and homes with yards. They should not live outdoors and do best when they are inside with their family as a companion dog.
