Dog
The Yorkinese breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Yorkshire Terrier with the Pekingese. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Yorkinese will have qualities of both parents. They are a toy sized breed of dog with a slightly longer body than they are tall. They usually have the more delicate look of the Yorkshire Terrier but they have the robust and compact look of the Pekingese. The head is usually slightly flat with a small muzzle, although it can be quite short if they take after their Pekingese parent.
The coat is usually long with a silky texture and a soft, short undercoat. They can be found in any of the colors of their parent breeds but are commonly found in a tan or tan and blue coat.

The standards for all the breeds accepted to the AKC are used here for breed information, and those not part of the AKC are resourced from FCI standard information, where it is written and coded into the club rules for those breeds.
