Breed Description:

The Yoranian breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Yorkshire Terrier with the Pomerian.  Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next.  Generally, the Yoranian will have qualities of both parents.  They are a toy sized breed of dog with a slightly longer body than they are tall. They should have a small, slightly flat head that is wedge shaped with large, erect ears that are triangular in shape. The tail can be docked but usually they are curled over the back, similar to the Pomeranian.

The coat of the Yoranian is usually medium in length with a slightly wiry feel to it. There should be double coat with a soft and short undercoat. The color of the Yoranian can be any of the two parents but it is commonly tan or tan and blue.

Temperament:
The Yoranian breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. However, they are known for being a very affectionate breed that is playful and a wonderfully dedicated companion. They love being with their owners and thrive when they can be out and about with them. The breed is very intelligent and can learn quickly, although they may be slow to house train. The Yoranian tends to be very playful and they have a natural ability for getting into mischief. They can do well with children but are better suited for homes with older children due to their small size. The breed is usually good with other pets but socialization is important.
