Breed Description:

The Welshi breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Wrst Highland White Terrier with the Shih Tzu.  Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next.  Generally, the Weshi will have qualities of both parents.  They are a small sized breed that should be slightly square in build and but they shouldn't be thin and delicate. They usually have a small muzzle but it is not pushed in as much as the Shih Tzu. The tail is often curled slightly over the back and the ears are often long and hang down the side of the head.

The coat of the Weshi can be long and soft  or it can be wiry in texutre but it usually has a slight wave to it. The Weshi can have a defined beard and topknot but not all of them do.  In general, the coat has a fluffy appearance and can be found in any color or marking but the common color is white with or without markings that are brown, gray or black in color

Temperament:
The Weshi breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly.
