Thai Ridgeback Champions
The Thai Ridgeback breed of dog is a medium sized breed of dog that should have the shape and build that is seen in pariah-type breeds, although usually with a bit more substance in their build. They should be slightly longer than they are tall, about10 to 9 in length, and they should have a deep chest. The top line of the Thai Ridgeback should be level and the tail should be tapered and should reach the hock. The end of the tail usually has a slight curve to it like a scimitar. The head of the Thai Ridgeback should be octagonal in shape, especially from the front and the erect ears should be medium in size and should be set at the sides of the skull.
The coat of the Thai Ridgeback should be smooth and should cover the dog completely. It should be short and the skin underneath the coat should be tight. There should be a distinct ridge down the spine of the dog and this should be hairs that grow in the opposite direction than the rest of the coat. The Thai Ridgeback should be solid in color and can be black, isabella, which is a light fawn, red and blue. The only color that can have additional markings is red and this is only seen as a black mask on the face.
