Breed Description: 

The Springerdoodle breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Poodle with the English Springer Spaniel. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Springerdoodle will have qualities of both parents. They should be a medium sized dog that is robust and well-formed. They should have ample size without appearing too heavy and should have a sturdy look to them. The Springerdoodle should be slightly longer than they are tall with a broad, slightly flat head and broad muzzle. The long ears should hang down the side of the head and the tail should be long.

The coat of the Springerdoodle can range but it is usually about 2 or 3 inches in length with wavy to tightly curled hair. Hair on the tail, legs, body, and ears are usually longer and slightly feathered, while the hair on the head and muzzle is shorter. The Springerdoodle can be found in a range of colors that are common for both breed parents, however, tan and black or black and white are the more common colors.

Temperament: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. They are usually a very sweet and happy breed of dog that is known for their playful temperament. The breed is usually very gentle and affectionate and they are very loyal to their family. They do well with children of all ages and usually get along well with everyone. The Springerdoodle is usually very good with other dogs and pets and they will even be accepting of strangers.

There is no set height for a Springerdoodle at this time.
Weight: 
The average weight for a Springerdoodle is between 30 to 45 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog has no known health problems, however, is important to research both the English Springer Spaniel and the Poodle to be aware of any potential health problems your dog could be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog is not recommended for apartments since they are an active breed. The ideal home is one with a large fenced yard. The Springerdoodle should not be an outdoor dog.
Exercise: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog is a very active breed and will require between 45 to 60 minutes of exercise each day. The breed makes an excellent jogging companion.

10 to 14 years
Grooming: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog can be very easy to groom if you keep the coat clipped short. If you keep them in their full coat, then you should expect to brush your dog two or three times per week and you will need to constantly work out mats and debris from the coat. Many Springerdoodle owners opt to clip the coat and this should be done every 6 to 8 weeks. When they do, the breed is very easy to care for and only require weekly brushings to keep the coat tidy. Bathing should be done when it is necessary and a Springerdoodle should be bathed every month or two.
Origin: 
The Springerdoodle breed of dog is a designer `hybrid` breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Springerdoodle, it is important to read up on both the English Springer Spaniel and the Poodle.
