Dog
The Shorgi breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Shih Tzu with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Shorgi will have qualities of both parents. They are usually a small sized breed of dog that is robust and sturdy looking. They should have an elongated body with a level top line and low slung body. The head is usually wedge shaped with a slightly rounded skull and the ears are usually very large and erect. The tail of the Shorgi is usually medium in length.
The coat of the Shorgi can range between the coats of the parent breeds, however, the most common coat is a medium length coat that has a wiry appearance. It should cover the dog completely and should be very dense. The Shorgi can be found in any color common to the parent breeds, however, the most common color is white and black.
