Dog
The Shih Apso breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Lhasa Apso with the Shih Tzu. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Shih Apso will have qualities of both parents. The breed small sized breed should be compact with a slightly longer body than it is tall. It should be robust in appearance and should have thick limbs and a long tail that tapers. The ears of the Shih Apso are usually long and hang down the side of the head. The coat of the Shih Apso is usually a combination of the Shih Tzu and the Lhasa Apso with thick dense fur that is medium in length and has a wave to loose curl. The texture should be smooth and there is usually a topknot on the head.. The color of a Shih Apso can be anycolor or color combination.
