Dog
The Shiffon breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Brussels Griffon with the Shih Tzu. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Shiffon will have qualities of both parents. The small sized breed actually takes after the Shih Tzu in looks and has the same roundish head with the small, slightly brachycephalic muzzle, however, they do have teh slightly monkey looking face of the Brussels Griffon. They have a short body but their legs are in porportion. The Shiffon has a tail that curls slightly over their body and a short coat that covers the body well. The Shiffon can be found in any coat color.

The standards for all the breeds accepted to the AKC are used here for breed information, and those not part of the AKC are resourced from FCI standard information, where it is written and coded into the club rules for those breeds.
