Dog
The Schipper-Poo breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Miniature or Toy Poodle and the Schipperke. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Schipper-Poo will have qualities of all the parents. They are a small to toy sized breed of dog that should be compact and robust. The body should be slightly longer than they are tall and the head should be wedge shaped with a slightly rounded skull and slightly square muzzle. The ears should be large and should be carried erect high on the head. The tail is either non-existant or long.
The coat of the Schipper-Poo can either be teh dense, harsh coat of the Schipperke or the curly coat of the Poodle. Usually, the coat is medium in length with a dense undercoat. The top coat is usually curly and there is usually face furnishings. The texture is usually hard and many have a wiry coat. The Schipper-Poo can be any color of the parent breeds but the most common color is black.
