rot-er-man
Breed Description:

The Rotterman breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Doberman Pinscher and the Rottweiler. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Rotterman will have qualities of all the parents.  They are a large breed of dog that should be well developed and proportioned. They should be muscular with a wider chest than their hips, however, they should not look too top heavy. The head should be broad with a long muzzle that is closer to teh Doberman Pinscher. The medium length ears hang down the sides of the head, however, many owners opt to have the ears cropped. The tail is long and tapers to a point, however, many dock the tail.

The coat of the Rotterman is usually a short coat that is very dense and covers the dog completely. The hair should lay flat on the dog, create a smooth line and have a natural shine to it. The texture of the coat should be slightly hard.  They are usually black with tan points.

Temperament:
The Rotterman breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. The breed is known for being a very affectioante breed that is loyal to their owners. They do well with children of all ages, however, it is important to be aware that some Rottweiler lines can be aggressive.
