Breed Description:

The Pugapoo breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Pug and the Miniature or Toy Poodle. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Pugapoo will have qualities of all the parents. They are a small to toy sized breed of dog that is compact and robust with a build that is slightly longer than they are tall. They are usually very muscular with a  level top line and a medium length tail that curls over the back. The ears are usually medium in length and tend to hang down the side of the head, although some have the folded forward ears.

The coat of the Pugapoo tends to be a double coat with a soft, short undercoat and a curly top coat. Many times, the topcoat has a scruffy appearance or a fluffy appearance, however, some are Pugapoos have the short coat that is common in the Pug.  They can be any color that the parent breeds have but the most common colors are black, gray, apricot and fawn with a black mask.
