Pronunciation:
pin-nee-poo
Breed Description:

The Pinny-Poo breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Miniature Pinscher and the Miniature Poodle. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Pinnny-Poo will have qualities of all the parents. They are a toy sized breed of dog that should be compact and robust. They should have an athletic appearance in a small package. The top line usually slopes slightly towards a medium length tail that is commonly docked. The head is usually wedge shaped, although it has more thickness to it than a Miniature Pinscher. The ears are commonly medium in size and folded forward, although they can also be erect or hang to the side of the head.

The Pinny-Poo can have a number of coats including the short, smooth coat of the Miniature Pinscher and the curly, long coat of the Poodle. Many times the coat is a medium length coat that covers the dog completely. The overall texture of the coat is wiry and hard and it gives the Pinny-Poo a scruffy look. The Pinny-Poo can be found in any colors that are common in the parent breeds but the most common color is the black with tan points that is common in the Miniature Pinscher.
