The Day I Met My Pet Psychic
I don't know what got into me; maybe it was the talk around the dinner table one night that led me to the rooms of a pet psychic. I had been to psychics before and received some useful and not so useful information about my future as well as my past. In fact, I had decided that I had had enough psychic readings to do me for the rest of my life when someone suggested that a local celebrity psychic was adding an extra string to her bow. That's how I found myself talking to her quite excitedly about my own cat, Buster. Now, it isn't the really wanted to find out what was in Buster's future, I simply wanted to spend some time with a psychic who incorporates pets into her readings, whether it be about Itself or the effect that pets have on their owners in a psychic sense.
Boy was I in for a shock! No sooner had I sat down with this psychic, who had the walls of her consulting room adorned with photographs and drawings of cats, dogs and pets of all persuasions from iguanas to snakes, when she immediately latched on to me and told me she had news about my cat. Without letting me speak she launched into a channeled speech, which sounded more like a tirade, about Buster's previous life and the reason for his presence in my life. Okay, she didn't mention his name but she did say a male cat was present in my life and he was here as part of my karma as well as his own.
She told me that Buster, in his previous life, had been an orphan in Melbourne, Australia. He had in fact been part of the stolen generation of children who had been separated from their mothers soon after birth because they had been born out of wedlock. She described to me how he had been placed into foster care and had been shifted around from family to family during the early part of his life until finally in his early adulthood he had joined the Navy and was involved in many battles during World War II. She told me that he died in battle when he was just 27 years old. She described to me how he had led an unfulfilled life and in fact had been reluctant to form any type of relationship with anybody in his life. She told me more about the effects of karma and that it was because of his inability to form relationships that he was reborn as a cat.
Although it was difficult to accept this I took it all on board and concluded that he was living with me in my family to fulfill the shortcomings of his previous existence. The psychic confirmed this with me and said that he is now content and has strongly bonded with my family and me to the point where it is merely a guaranteed certainty that in his next life he'll be reborn in human form. As I watch him wander about in his daily activities, I reflect on this and I can accept it as being true, even if I'm not completely sure. It doesn't mean I treat him any differently, and I am certain that he doesn't change his behavior out of any premonition that his future life will be at a higher level.
Nevertheless, my visit to the pet psychic gave me a new slant on my special relationship with Buster.
