Dog
The Peke-A-Pin breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Pekingese and the Miniature Pinscher. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Peke-A-Pin will have qualities of all the parents. They should be a toy sized breed of dog that is compact but still have a delicate and slightly athletic look to them. The body is usually slightly longer than the dog is tall and the top line is level. The head is usually round with a very short and delicate looking muzzle, although it is not as short as a Pekingese. The eyes are large and the triangular shaped ears are usually folded forward. The tail of the Peke-A-Pin is usually short.
The coat of the Peke-A-Pin is usually a short coat that is very dense and covers the dog completely. The hair should lay flat on the dog and create a smooth line. The texture of the coat should be slightly hard. The Peke-A-Pin can be found in any colors that are common in the parent breeds but the most common color is black with tan points similar to the Miniature Pinscher parent
