Breed Description: 

The Peagle breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Pekingese and the Beagle. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Peagke will have qualities of all the parents. They should be a small sized breed of dog that should be compact and athletic in appearacne. They should be slightly longer than they are tall with a level top line and a medium length tail that is carried high. The tail should either be straight or should curl over the back and some owners opt to have it docked. The head of the Peagle should be broad with a very short muzzle that is a combination of both the Pekingese and Beagle muzzle. The eyes should be large and the medium length ears should hang slightly to the side of the head.

The coat of the Peagle is usually a short coat that is very dense and covers the dog completely. The hair should lay flat on the dog and create a smooth line. The texture of the coat should be slightly hard. The Peagle can be found in any colors that are common in the parent breeds but the most common colors are black and white, cream and brown.

Temperament: 
The Peagle breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. The Peagle is a fun loving breed that is known for being affectionate, playful and charming. This is sweet dog that usually gets along well with everyone. They do have a well of energy and their natural love of children make them an ideal family pet, however, care should be taken if the puppy takes after their Pekingese parent. The breed usually gets along well with other dogs and pets and they are often very friendly with everyone including strangers.

The average weight for a Peagle is between 14 to 15 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Peagle breed of dog has no known health problems, however, it is important to read up on the Beagle and the Pekingese to be aware of the health problems your puppy may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Peagle breed of dog may not be suitable for apartments if they take after their Beagle parent, which is a very vocal breed. The ideal is a home with a fenced yard and they should not be an outdoor dog.
Exercise: 
The Peagle breed of dog is a very energetic breed of dog and will need about 45 to 60 minutes of exercise each day to stay healthy and happy.

Grooming: 
The Peagle breed of dog is a very easy breed to groom and they require little to no maintenance to keep their coats healthy. On average, you should expect to brush your dog on a weekly basis to remove dead hairs and dirt. A wipe down with a damp cloth will keep them clean and they should only be bathed when it is absolutely necessary. Ears should be cleaned on a regular basis and nails should be clipped once or twice a month.
