Breed Description: 

The Otto Bulldog breed of dog is a medium sized breed of dog that should be muscular and well-balanced. They are usually slightly longer than they are tall with a deep, wide chest and slightly narrow hips, although they should not be top heavy. The head should be flat and broad and the muzzle should be short and square.  It should not be as short as an English Bulldog but it shouldn't be too long.  The ears are usually medium in length and fold to the side of the head but they can also be erect.  The tail is usually medium in length and tapers to a point.

The coat of the Otto Bulldog should be short and close to the skin. It should cover the dog completely and have a shiny appearance. The texture is usually medium in roughness. They can be found in a number of colors including white, brown, black, red and brindle or a combination of white with any of the colors mentioned.

Temperament: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog is a fiercely loyal and protective breed that is known for their gentle natures and courageous spirit. While the breed is devoted and affectionate to their family, they are known for being very protective. In addition, this is a breed that will defend their home and owners with their very life. They can be very stubborn and they may not be the best breed for a new or inexperienced owner. The Otto Bulldog is usually very good with children and with other animals.

The average height for an Otto Bulldog is between 21 to 22 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight for an Otto Bulldog is between 65 to 80 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog is considered to be a very healthy breed and there are no known health problems at this time.
Living Conditions: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog can do very well in apartments if they are exercised properly, however, the ideal living condition is a home with a large fenced yard. In addition, while they do enjoy being outside, they should not be an outdoor dog; this is a breed that loves being with their owners.
Exercise: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog are considered to have an average activity level and will need between 20 to 30 minutes of exercise each day.

12 to 15 years
Grooming: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog is a very easy breed to groom and they require little to no maintenance to keep their coats healthy. On average, you should expect to brush your dog on a weekly basis to remove dead hairs and dirt. A wipe down with a damp cloth will keep them clean and they should only be bathed when it is absolutely necessary. Ears should be cleaned on a regular basis and nails should be clipped once or twice a month. The only other task is to wipe down the dog's face, wrinkles and around the eyes on a daily basis to reduce the risk of skin infections.
Origin: 
The Otto Bulldog breed of dog is considered to be a designer breed, however, its development has been to recreate the White English Bulldog and return it to the way it originally looked. The breed is beign developed by Ray Lane and it is through his efforts and guidelines that puppies are being registered with the Backwoods Bulldog Club. While the breed is often confused with the Alaphala Blue Blood Bulldog line, they are actually two separate breeds.
