The Olde Victorian Bulldogge breed of dog, like many of the other Olde Bulldogge breeds is a fairly new breed, however, it is no longer considered to be a mixed breed or a designer breed. The Olde Victorian Bulldogge was developed in the hopes of creating a breed that closely resembled the English Bulldog during the Victorian age. To do this, a man by the name of Carlos Woods began crossing the English Bulldog with the Staffy Bull, German Boxer, Olde Bulldogge and the American Bulldogge. The result was a breed that closely resembled the English Bulldog but without many of the health problems. The breed was developed in the late 1980's and has been accepted by a number of registries.
