Breed Description: 

The Mastador breed of dog was developed by crossing the Labrador Retriever with the Mastiff. The result was a large to giant sized breed of dog that has a slightly longer body than it is tall. The tail is usually very long and tapers to a point and the ears are medium in length and hang down the side of the head. The muzzle is similar to the short, thick muzzle of the Mastiff and the dog tends to have a lean, yet muscular build that doesn't appear as massive as its Mastiff parent.

The coat of the Mastador is short and smooth. It should have a slightly rough texture to it adn should be very shiny. The color of the Mastador can be yellow, fawn, apricot, black, brindle and chocolate and they can have the black mask that is common in the Mastiff parent. In addition, the Mastador can have white on their chest, toes and muzzle.

Temperament: 
The Mastador breed of dog is a gentle breed that makes an all around family dog. They are usually very affectionate with children and tend to dote on them. They also get along well with other dogs and household pets and are usually very friendly with everyone. They are very loyal to their family and can be protective fi they sense any type of danger. The Mastador is usually eager to please, although some do take after their Mastiff parent and need a firm but gentle hand. The breed is intelligent and can be trained quite easily.
Height: 
The average height of a Mastador is between 21 to 32 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight of a Mastador is between 100 to 200 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Mastador breed of dog has no known health problems, however, it is important to read up on both the Mastiff and the Labrador Retriever to be aware of the health problems your puppy may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Mastador breed of dog is a large and active breed of dog and they are not recommended for apartments. The ideal living condition for the Mastador is a large house with a large, fenced backyard. Despite their size, the Mastador should not be an outdoor dog since they thrive when they are with their family.
Exercise: 
The Mastador breed of dog is an active dog and should receive between 45 to 60 minutes of exercise each day. They do require a wide range of exercise and love getting out for runs or simply for a good swim.
Life Expectancy: 
10 to 12 years
Grooming: 
The Mastador breed of dog is very easy to groom and is considered to be a "wash and wear" breed. Brushing can be done once per week to keep down the hair and they should be bathed only when it is necessary. Ears should be cleaned on a weekly basis to prevent infections and if you Mastador has a lot of face wrinkles, you may need to wipe the wrinkles on a daily basis.
Origin: 
The Mastador breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Mastador, it is important to read up on both the Mastiff and the Labrador Retriever.
