Breed Description: 

The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog is a large sized breed of dog that looks very similar to bloodhounds and coonhounds. They should be a powerful looking dog that is athletic without appearing too muscular. They should have a level top line and a build taht is slightly longer than they are tall. The Majestic Tree Hound should have a broad head and ample facial wrinkles, along with a large flew and dewlap. The tail of the Majestic Tree Hound should be long and the ears should be long and hanging down the side of the head.

The coat of the Majestic Tree Hound should be short and dense. It can be found in any color including brown, white with black markings, white with orange and black with tan points.

Temperament: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog is an intelligent and friendly dog that is known for being very affectionate. They are extremely loyal to their family and they thrive when they can be working. The breed is usually easy to train, however, they will follow their nose, heedless of commands or danger. The breed does well with children and usually does well with other dogs, however, they need to be properly socialized to accept other small, non-canine pets.

The average height for the Majestic Tree Hound is between 24.5 to 30 inches.
Weight: 
The Majestic Tree Hound can weigh up to 100 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog has no known health problems and they are considered to be a very hardy breed.
Living Conditions: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog is not recommended for apartments. They are an active breed and need a yard to exercise in. It is important to have a fenced yard since they will wander after smells. In addition, this breed may not be recommended for urban settings since they can be quite vocal.
Exercise: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog is an active breed that needs at least 60 minutes of exercise each day. They love being out and working so it is important to offer them a variety of activities.

Grooming: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog should be brushed once per week to remove any dead hair but outside of that, they are a very easy dog to groom. Special care should be given to the ears, since they can be prone to ear infections and the hair under the ears and around the feet should be trimmed on a regular basis. Baths should only be given when it is absolutely necessary and the breed can go several months between baths.
Origin: 
The Majestic Tree Hound breed of dog is a fairly new breed, however, the breed can be traced back to the St. Hubert hound, which is linked to many of the scenthound breeds alive today. While it is unclear what breeds went into creating the Majestic Tree Hound, it is believed that the Bloodhound was one of them. IN addition, we do know that the breed was developed in the United States and the first breed association was formed for the Majestic Tree Hound in 1980.
