Breed Description: 

The Lhasanese breed of dog is a small breed that was developed by crossing the Lhasa Apso with the Pekingese. They are usually slightly longer than they are tall with a robust build that is well-balanced.  The muzzle is very short and the head is round.  The ears are long and hang on the side of the head and the tail is usually long.

The coat of the Lhasanese is long and silky to the touch. Feathering can usually be seen on the ears, tail, chest and legs and the hair on the head is often shorter, although there is still an evident topknot.  The Lhasanese can be found in all colors, although cream is the most common color.

Temperament: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog is a very sweet tempered dog that usually gets along well with everyone. They usually do very well with children but may be better suited for homes with older children. The Lhasanese is very affectionate and loyal and thrive when they are with their owners. They can be very playful but they also love cuddling up with their favorite person for hours on end.

The average height of a Lhasanese is between 6 to 11 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight of Lhasanese is between 8 to 15 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog has no known health problems, however, it is important to read up on both the Pekingese and the Lhasa Apso to be aware of the health problems your puppy may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog can do very well in apartments and do not need a lot of room to run around in. They should not live outdoors and do best in home settings instead of kennel settings.
Exercise: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog requires one or two walks per day to meet their exercise needs. In addition to walks, it is important to give them some off leash exercise through games of fetch or other dog games.

10 to 15 years
Grooming: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog is often clipped to keep grooming to a minimal. If they are clipped,they only need to be brushed once a week but in a full coat, expect to brush them two or three times per week. They should only be bathed when necessary and can go several months before needing a bath.
Origin: 
The Lhasanese breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Lhasanese, it is important to read up on both the Pekingese and the Lhasa Apso.
