Breed Description: 

The Lhaffon breed of dog  was the result of crossing the Brussels Griffon with the Lhasa Apso.  The breed actually takes after the Lhasa Apso in looks and has the same roundish head with the small, slightly brachycephalic muzzle.  They have a short body but their legs are in porportion.  The Lhaffon has a tail taht curls slightly over their body and a medium length coat that covers the body well. The coat can be a range of colors from gold to black, including honey, cream, grey and white. In addition, they can have markings of either white, brown or black.

Temperament: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog is a friendly breed that has a very terrier-like personality. They can be very assertive and tend to be lively. In addition, the Lhaffon tend to be suspicious of strangers but they are devoted adn loving with their family. They are not the easiest breed to train but with the proper motivation, training can be accomplished. While they can make excellent pets, they are not ideal for homes with children since they don't show children as much patience as they do adults.

The average height of a Lhaffon is between 8 to 11 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight of a Lhaffon is between 8 to 15 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog is a breed that has known health problems but it is important to research the parent breeds. Both breeds suffer from eye problems and the Brussels Griffon can often suffer from slipped stifles while hip dysplasia has been seen in the Lhasa Apso
Living Conditions: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog can reside in apartments, because of their small size, and in any other type of dwelling. They should not live outdoors.
Exercise: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog is a small breed but they have a large well of energy and will require daily exercise to keep them from becoming destructive. Generally, a good walk each day will be enough and since they are so small, many of their exercise needs can be met inside.

12 to 15 years
Grooming: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog should be brushed several times a week to keep the coat free of mats and dead hair. In addition, they should be bathed on a regular basis, usually once or twice a month, to keep their coat healthy. Like the Lhasa Apso, the Lhaffon can have their coats clipped to make them easier to care for.
Origin: 
The Lhaffon breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Lhaffon, it is important to read up on both the Brussels Griffon and the Lhasa Apso.
