Breed Description: 

The Hava-Apso breed of dog is a small breed that was developed by crossing the Havanese and the Lhasa Apso together.  The Hava-Apso is a small dog that is slightly longer than it is tall.  They should be have a sturdy, compact build that gives the dog a robust build without appearing too course or fragile.

The coat of the Hava-Apso is usually long and silky.  It can be curly, wavy or straight and it should cover the dog completely. The head has a fluffy look to it and the muzzle is small but not purched in. The tail is usually curled over the back but not tightly.  The color of the Hava-Apso can be any color including black, cream, blue, grizzle, brown, and white.

Temperament: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog is a affectionate and friendly. This is a dog that loves being with their family and they tend to have a clown-like temperament. They are always willing to make their owners laugh and love playing with just about everyone. They can be excellent with children, however, some care should be taken in this area since the Lhasa Apso is less tolerant of children than the Havanese so the Hava-Apso puppy can differ depending on the breed temperament they inherit. Generally, the Hava-Apso is very intelligent and can be trained quite easily.
Height: 
The average height of a Hava-Apso is between 8 to 11 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight of a Hava-Apso is between 10 to 20 pounds, although most Hava-Apso tend to be about 14 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog has no known health problems, however, researching the parent breeds, which are the Lhasa Apso and the Havanese, will give you insight into what health concerns your puppy could be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog is an excellent breed for apartments. They are small enough to live anywhere and they don't need a large yard to meet their exercise needs. It is important to note that the breed cannot live outdoors. This is an inside dog and they thrive when they are in the company of their owners.
Exercise: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog has an average activity level and their exercise needs can be met easily with either one or two good walks each day. In addition, you can meet their energy needs with a good game of fetch down a hallway.

14 to 15 years
Grooming: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog can be fairly easy to groom, however, the type of coat the dog inherits will determine how difficult it is. In general, Hava-Apso owners tend to clip the coat, which makes them very easy to care for. Clipping should be done every 6 to 8 weeks and the coat only needs to be brushed once a week when it is. If the coat is left long, the dog should be brushed every day or every other day to prevent mats. The hair around the feet should be trimmed and the face and eyes should be washed regularly to prevent staining of the coat. Bathing can be done once a month or whenever your Hava-Apso needs one.
Origin: 
The Hava-Apso breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Hava-Apso, it is important to read up on both the Havanese and the Lhasa Apso.
