Generally, the coat is medium in length with shorter hair on the head. In many Griffonshire dogs there is an apparanent beard that gives the dog a scruffy appearance. The colors of the Griffonshire can be b;ue (gray) and tan, red, black and tan, black, and red with black mask.

The Griffonshire breed of dog is fun and playful but it definitely has a tenacious side. This is a breed that can have a big personality and it is always ready for adventure. They are usually very loyal to their family but they aren't recommended for children. Living Conditions:
The Griffonshire breed of dog is an active breed and despite their small size, they are better suited to living in a home with a small fenced yard to exercise in. They can live in apartment but they need to have their exercise needs met to make a good match for apartment living.

12 to 15 years
Grooming:

If the puppy has a wiry coat, which it inherits from the Brussels Griffon parent, then you may need to strip the coat two or three times a year to remove any dead hair.
Origin:
The Griffonshire breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Griffonshire, it is important to read up on both the Brussels Griffon and the Yorkshire Terrier.
