Breed Description: 

The Golden Labrador breed of dog are a hybrid breed that was developed by crossing the Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever.  They are a large sized breed that greatly resemble a Labrador Retriever in build and head shape, although they do have more substance to them that is similar to their Golden Retriever parent.  They should have pendulous ears and a long tapering tail.

The coat of the Golden Labrador should consist of two coats.  The undercoat should be short and dense and should provide the dog with ample protection from the elements. The topcoat is usually short, and straight and it should be thick.  Occasionally, it can be slightly longer than an average Labrador Retriever coat but it should still be straight and it shouldn't be as long as the Golden Retriever coat.  A slight wave of hair is usually seen down the spine of the dog and the hair should be rough to the touch. The coat can be yellow, ranging from cream to gold, red and also black in color.

Temperament: 
The Golden Labrador breed of dog is an affectionate family dog that is very loyal and intelligent. They get along with everyone and tend to be very social but they are a bit more reserved with strangers than their parent breeds. The Goldador is very intelligent and are also an independent breed that loves to work. They tend to be very energetic and thrive when they have human interaction.

The average height of a Golden Labrador is between 22 to 24 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight of a Golden Labrador is between 60 to 80 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Golden Labrador breed of dog has no known health problems and the risk of problems is different depending on the generation of Golden Labrador that you purchase. That being said, there has been an occurance of hip and elbow dysplasia occurring in Golden Labradors as well as diabetes and progressive retinal dysplasia. It is important to research both the Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever to find out what other health problems your Golden Labrador may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Golden Labrador breed of dog can do well in apartments if they are properly exercise but the ideal dwelling is a house with a large fenced yard. Although they do enjoy the outdoors, Golden Labradors should not be outdoor dogs and only thrive when they are inside with their owners.
Exercise: 
The Golden Labrador breed of dog is an energetic breed and require between 30 to 60 minutes of exercise each day. They are prone to obesity so it is important to get them out every day and they are always happy to swim, run or simply play.

10 to 14 years
Grooming: 
The Golden Labrador breed of dog is very easy to groom and you only need to brush them about once per week. Bathing should only be done when necessary and the breed can usually go several months before they need one and the rest of the time they can be kept clean with a damp cloth. Extra care should be given to the ears, keeping them clean and dry, since they can be prone to ear infections.
Origin: 
The Golden Labrador is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Golden Labrador, it is important to read up on both the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever.
