Breed Description: 

The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog is a crossbreed between the Standard Poodle and the Giant Schnauzer.  The result is a large breed dog that is square in shape and has the square head that is seen in the Giant Schnauzer.  The breed can have a short to long tail depending on the parentage that they take after.  The Giant Schnoodle has a tight curly coat that is very similar to the Standard Poodle and it is usually black in coloring, although the Giant Schnoodle can have any of the colors found in either the Standard Poodle or Giant Schnauzer breeds.

Temperament: 
The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog has a very loving temperament that makes them perfect for families. They are very affectionate to children and tend to be laid back and calm, although they do have a fair amount of energy. They are usually happy dogs that have a clown like sense of humor and a courageous heart when needed. The Giant Schnoodle is usually very intelligent and can be trained very easily, although some can be stubborn at times.
Height: 
The height of the Giant Schnoodle is between 25.5 to 27.5 inches for males and 23.5 to 25.5 inches for females.
Weight: 
The weight of the Giant Schnoodle is between 65 to 80 pounds for both males and females.
Health Problems: 
The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog has no known health problems at this time, however, it is important to look at the health risks of the parent breeds. Both breeds are prone to hip dysplasia and both are at risk for gastric torsion. The Standard Poodle has several diseases linked to the eyes and the Giant Schnauzer has a high number of cancers.
Living Conditions: 
The German Schnoodle breed of dog has a laid back nature and can reside anywhere, including apartments. However, the ideal location would be a home with a fenced yard.
Exercise: 
The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog can be a very high energy breed so it is important to exercise them daily. Expect to exercise your dog between 30 to 60 minutes each day.
Life Expectancy: 
12 to 15 years
Grooming: 
The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog is a low shedding dog and they can be very easy to groom. Brushing them once or twice a week is enough to keep their coats clean and tidy and the coat can be clipped to make grooming even easier.
Origin: 
The Giant Schnoodle breed of dog is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Giant Schnoodle, it is important to read up on both the Giant Schnauzer and the Standard Poodle.
