Horse

Breed Description:

The Furioso-North Star breed of horse is a medium-heavy riding and light draft horse that originated in Hungary. The Furioso-North Star is named after two of the stallions that were progenitors of the breed in the mid 1800s; the descendants of these two stallions were inbred, and the Furioso-North Star breed of horse evolved from this purposeful breeding. Furioso-North Star horses are extremely versatile warmbloods, and are used in a number of different ways. They are well-suited to light draft and farm work, and are also highly qualified for saddle and sport purposes (jumping is generally not its strength, however). The Furioso-North Star has a large frame, handsome head with a straight profile, strong bones, and noble appearance. The neck is muscular and either straight or only slightly arched. The legs are finely muscled and clean, and its hooves are tough. The most common color for the Furioso-North Star breed of horse is bay, with black and chestnut sometimes seen. The Furioso-North Star breed of horse is tough and tractable and highly useful for many purposes. It is a rare and valuable breed. Individual horses are tested for harness or saddle use before they may be bred.
