The Freiberger breed of horse invariably has good clean legs, strong joints, and hard feet. The slight feathering that Freibergers used to show at the feet has been largely bred out. Today's Freibergers also have somewhat finer heads, sometimes showing Arabian character. They are generally bay or chestnut in color. White markings are accepted on the face and legs, but not preferred.
