Breed Description: 

The Foxy Russell breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Jack Russell Terrier with the Toy Fox Terrier. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the American Rat Pinscher will have qualities of both parents. The breed should be a small to toy sized breed of dog that is lean and delicate in appearance. They should have an athletic build and they are usually slightly longer than they are tall. The head is usually round, with large,erect ears that can occasionally fold to the side of the head. The muzzle is usually long and slim and the tail is usually medium in length.

The coat of the Foxy Russell is short and close to the skin. It should cover the dog fully and can be any color that is commonly seen in the parent breeds. The most common color is white with brown markings.

Temperament: 
The Foxy Russell breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. The breed is known for being a playful and intelligent breed that is sweet and usually very clown like in their temperament. They are usually very happy to spend all their time with their owners and can suffer from separation anxiety when they are left alone. They do love getting attention and can often get into things just to draw their owner's attention to them, regardless of whether it is good or not. The breed can do well with children, but they are better suited to homes with older children since they have a large well of energy. The Foxy Russell does well with other dogs, however, they can have a strong prey drive, which makes them unsuitable for homes with smaller pets.

The average height for a Foxy Russell is between 8 to 15 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight for a Foxy Russell is between 6 to 16 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Foxy Russell breed of dog has no known health problems, however, it is important to read up on both the Jack Russell Terrier and the Toy Fox Terrier to be aware of the health problems your puppy may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Foxy Russell breed of dog an do very well in apartments due to their size. They should not be outdoor dogs and should be given protection from extreme temperaments.
Exercise: 
The Foxy Russell breed of dog s very active and requires between 30 and 45 minutes of exercise each day. They do need both on lead and off lead exercise and they should always be kept on lead when they are not in a secure area to prevent them from running after other animals.

Grooming: 
The Foxy Russell breed of dog does not require a lot of maintenance and can be kept tidy with only one brushing each week.
