Dogue Brasileiro Champions
The Dogue Brasileiro breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the American Bulldog with the Dogue De Bordeaux. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the American Bull Dogue De Bordeaux will have qualities of both parents. They are a medium to large sized breed of dog that is muscular and athletic. This is a dog that should look powerful and well balanced with a body that is slightly longer than they are tall. The head should be broad with a square jaw that is powerful. Ears usually hang down the side of the head, however, they are often cropped. The tail is long and tapers to a point but some owners opt to dock the tail.
The coat of the Dogue Brasileiro should be short and thick. It should cover the dog completely and should be hard in texture and shiny. The Dogue Brasileiro can be found in any color or color pattern including red, tan, blue, black, white, brindle, black and white, white and tan, and brindle and white.
