Horse
The Danish Warmblood breed of horse (or Dansk Varmblud) is the modern "sport horse" from Denmark. It comes in all solid colors, but bay is most common. It has a proportionate, well-shaped head, muscular back, and strong legs. The Danish Warmblood breed of horse is a relatively young breed, initially developed in the early 20th century. Even so, Danish Warmbloods are well-represented at international competitions in both dressage and show jumping. Danish Warmblood actually describes a type of horse, rather than a particular breed. As such, breeders have been able to cross with other types and breeds with a focus on developing the perfect saddle horse. In recent years, the Danish Warmblood breed of horse has been crossed only with the best European bloodlines, resulting in what is seen as an elegant, easy to ride horse with good, free action. The Danish Warmblood excels at dressage and cross country and can make a great show jumper.
