Breed Description: 

The Dalmador breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Labrador Retriever with the Dalmatian. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Dalmador will have qualities of both parents. They are often described as medium to large sized breed that should be athletic and well-proportioned. They should have the look of a working breed with the gracefulness of a Dalmation. The head is usually slightly rounded with a well-defined muzzle and pendulous ears that hang down the side of the head. The tail is usually long and tapers to a point and the top line is level.

The coat of the Dalmador is usually consists of two coats. The undercoat should be short and dense and should provide the dog with ample protection from the elements. The topcoat is usually short, and straight and it should be thick. Usually the coat resembles a Labrador Retrievers more than a Dalmation, although not always. The color can be any found in the parent breeds but the most common is black or black with white markings. The Dalmador can also be white with black spots.

Temperament: 
The Dalmador breed of dog is a designer breed and because of this, their temperament can vary greatly. However, they are known for being an affectionate family dog that is very loyal and intelligent. They get along with everyone and tend to be very social. In addition, the Dalmador is the eternal puppy and is often described as a "Peter Pan" breed that never grows up. The Dalmador is very intelligent and tend to be very energetic. This breed thrives when they have human interaction and they do very well with children of all ages.

The average height for a Dalmador is between 22 to 24 inches.
Weight: 
The average weight for a Dalmador is between 50 to 65 pounds.
Health Problems: 
The Dalmador breed of dog has no known health problems, however, it is important to read up on both the Dalmatian and the Labrador Retriever to be aware of the health problems your puppy may be at risk for.
Living Conditions: 
The Dalmador breed of dog can do well in apartments if they are properly exercise but the ideal dwelling is a house with a large fenced yard. Although they do enjoy the outdoors, Dalmadors should not be outdoor dogs and only thrive when they are inside with their owners.
Exercise: 
The Dalmador breed of dog is an energetic breed and require between 30 to 60 minutes of exercise each day. They are prone to obesity so it is important to get them out every day and they are always happy to swim, run or simply play.

10 to 14 years
Grooming: 
The Dalmador breed of dog is very easy to groom and you only need to brush them about once per week. Bathing should only be done when necessary and the breed can usually go several months before they need one and the rest of the time they can be kept clean with a damp cloth. Extra care should be given to the ears, keeping them clean and dry, since they can be prone to ear infections.
Origin: 
The Dalmador is a designer `hybrid`breed that has become popular over the last decade or so. There is no actual origin for the breed and if you are interested in learning more about the Dalmador, it is important to read up on both the Dalmatian and the Labrador Retriever.
