Dog

Group:
Toy
Pronunciation:
(CHUS-sel)
Breed Description:

The Chussel breed of dog is not a recognized breed of dog.  Instead it is a cross of a Chihuahua and a Brussels Griffon.  This makes it a hybrid dog or a designer dog.  The difference between a designer dog and what people commonly refer to as mutts or mixed breeds is the fact that designer dogs are usually bred intentionally.  The parents are purebred dogs, often registered.  They may even have been health-tested.  The ancestry of the designer dog is known, unlike with most mutts and mixed breed dogs.  The breeder is trying to produce a certain kind of dog for some reason.

The Chussel breed of dog may combine traits of its Chihuahua and Brussels Griffon parents or it may resemble one parent more than another.  It’s also possible for a breeder to breed two dogs that are Chussels together.  This means that the dogs are the result of previous breedings of Chihuahuas and Brussels Griffons.  However, the puppies may still resemble either Chihuahuas or Brussels Griffons.

If you are interested in a Chussel breed of dog then you should gather information about both the Chihuahua and the Brussels Griffon.  There’s no way to tell exactly how the puppies will turn out or to what degree they will resemble which parent.

In the case of the Chussel breed of dog the dog may have a mix of features, including a Chihuahua face, a beard with bushy eyebrows, erect or drop ears, a wiry, smooth or long coat, and a body type like either the Chihuahua or the Brussels Griffon.  Colors can vary.

Temperament:

Otherwise they should be loving and devoted to their owners but they may be reserved with strangers.
Height:
The Chussel breed of dog may stand up to 8 inches tall at the shoulders.
Weight:
The Chussel breed of dog may weight up to 18 pounds.
Exercise:
These little dogs are usually very active indoors and they do need regular exercise to maintain good health and to avoid behavior problems.
Life Expectancy:
The lifespan of the Chussel breed of dog is usually between 12 and 15 years.
Grooming:
The grooming requirements for the Chussel breed of dog will depend on the individual dog’s type of coat.
