Dog
The Chinese Crestepoo breed of dog is not a recognized breed of dog. Instead it is a cross of a Chinese Crested and one of the varieties of Poodle. This makes it a hybrid dog or a designer dog. The difference between a designer dog and what people commonly refer to as mutts or mixed breeds is the fact that designer dogs are usually bred intentionally. The parents are purebred dogs, often registered. They may even have been health-tested. The ancestry of the designer dog is known, unlike with most mutts and mixed breed dogs. The breeder is trying to produce a certain kind of dog for some reason.
The Chinese Crestepoo breed of dog may combine traits of its Chinese Crested and Poodle parents or it may resemble one parent more than another. It’s also possible for a breeder to breed two dogs that are Chinese Crestepoos together. This means that the dogs are the result of previous breedings of Chinese Cresteds and Poodles. However, the puppies may still resemble either Chinese Cresteds and Poodles.
If you are interested in a Chinese Crestepoo breed of dog then you should gather information about both the Chinese Crested and the Poodle. There’s no way to tell exactly how the puppies will turn out or to what degree they will resemble which parent.
In the case of the Chinese Crestepoo breed of dog the appearance of these little dogs can vary a great deal. They can have a face more like a Poodle or like a Crested. They can have a body like a Poodle or a Crested. And, since there are several coat types involved in the parent breeds, the resulting puppies can have a wide range of possible coat types. Coats can be curly like a Poodle, wavy, straight or a Chinese Crestepoo breed of dog may be hairless like the Chinese Crested. All of these coats may appear on puppies in the same litter. All colors are possible. A wide range of sizes are also possible since Poodles come in Toy, Miniature and Standard sizes. A lot will depend on the particular Poodle parent chosen for breeding.
