Breed Description:

The Chineranian breed of dog is not a recognized breed of dog.  Instead it is a cross of a Japanese Chin and a Pomeranian.  This makes it a hybrid dog or a designer dog.  The difference between a designer dog and what people commonly refer to as mutts or mixed breeds is the fact that designer dogs are usually bred intentionally.  The parents are purebred dogs, often registered.  They may even have been health-tested.  The ancestry of the designer dog is known, unlike with most mutts and mixed breed dogs.  The breeder is trying to produce a certain kind of dog for some reason.

The Chineranian breed of dog may combine traits of its Japanese Chin and Pomeranian parents or it may resemble one parent more than another.  It’s also possible for a breeder to breed two dogs that are Chineranians together.  This means that the dogs are the result of previous breedings of Japanese Chins and Pomeranians.  However, the puppies may still resemble either Japanese Chins and Pomeranians.

If you are interested in a Chineranian breed of dog then you should gather information about both the Japanese Chin and the Pomeranian.  There’s no way to tell exactly how the puppies will turn out or to what degree they will resemble which parent.

In the case of the Chineranian breed of dog these little dogs are often parti-colored like the Japanese Chin.  They may have a pointed face reminiscent of the Pomeranian but with the ears and eyes of the Chin.  The eyes are usually medium in size and dark.  The ears are often partially erect and may fold at the top.  The dog may have a slight underbite like the Chin.  The dogs may have a Pomeranian-type body.  The coat is typically long and may resemble the Pomeranian coat, although it can vary.

Temperament:
The Chineranian breed of dog is usually friendly, affectionate and playful but they can be barkers. They have a lot of energy for a small dog. They do need to have a firm owner to keep them from doing things they shouldn’t do.
Height:
The Chineranian breed of dog usually stands between 7 and 12 inches tall at the shoulder.
Weight:
The Chineranian breed of dog typically weighs between 3 and 15 pounds.
Exercise:
These are active little dogs but they can usually get most of their exercise indoors. Time spent playing with them is also good exercise. However, they will need some regular exercise to maintain good health.
Life Expectancy:
The lifespan of the Chineranian breed of dog is somewhere between 10 and 15 years. The Japanese Chin usually lives around 10 years while the Pomeranian can live longer.
Grooming:
The Chineranian breed of dog typically has a long coat and they do require regular brushing to keep it looking nice and free of mats. Be sure to clean the eyes to keep them free of debris. Clean the ears regularly to prevent infections.
Origin:
Probably the United States but the exact origin of the cross is not known.
