Horse
The Chilean Corralero breed of horse is the native horse of Chile bred primarily for saddle and stock work. It has a distinguished appearance, with a characteristic flat profile, small and separated ears, a small fine muzzle, luxuriant mane and tail, broad deep chest, wide body, full flanks, and short but muscular extremities. They are slightly heavier than the Argentinean Criollo horses. The hooves are preferably black, with a concave sole and tough horn. Chilean Corraleros are strong and sure-footed, with great endurance. All colors are accepted for the Chilean Corralero breed of horse. Albinos and any horses with a concave profile are eliminated from the breed. The Chilean Corralero breed of horse historically has been used for working cattle and is now used heavily in Chilean rodeo.
