Dog

Pronunciation:
(CAIR-zu)
Breed Description:

Temperament:
The Care-Tzu breed of dog is said to be lovable, clever and friendly. However, with a Cairn Terrier as a parent you may expect some of these dogs to have some Terrier feistiness. They are said to get along well with most children and other pets when they are raised together but socialization beginning at an early age is a good idea.
Height:
The Care-Tzu breed of dog stands between 9 and 13 inches tall.
Weight:
The Care-Tzu breed of dog weighs between 10 and 18 pounds.
Exercise:
This is an active small dog and it does need regular moderate exercise.
Life Expectancy:
The Care-Tzu breed of dog may live between 12 and 14 years.
Grooming:
Grooming will depend on the kind of coat that the individual Care-Tzu has. If the dog has a coat resembling the Cairn parent, then regular brushing of the shaggy coat will be needed, as well as periodic trimming of the eyebrows and hair around the ears. If the coat resembles the Shih Tzu parent then more brushing will be required and the coat may need some conditioning. For all Care-Tzu, regular ear cleaning is necessary to prevent ear infections.
Origin:
United States. More specific information is not known.
