Breed Description: 

Brat breeders claim that these dogs are “less aggressive” and more submissive than their parent breeds.  However, Boston Terriers aren’t usually aggressive dogs anyway. American Rat Terriers may be somewhat feisty.  They may be protective of their families and have a terrier temperament. The Brat breed of dog may resemble either parent in temperament. Breeders also say that the Brat breed of dog is very family-oriented and eager to please. They say that these dogs also love to learn tricks.

These dogs usually weigh between 12 and 20 pounds.
Health Problems: 
Despite being susceptible to a number of possible health problems, Boston Terriers are one of the longer-lived breeds. If the Brat inherits this long-lived propensity from its Boston Terrier parent then it could live 13 to 15 years.
Exercise: 
The Brat breed of dog requires regular exercise but they can adapt to apartment living. Make sure that they get plenty of socialization in order to develop a good temperament.

The Brat breed of dog requires regular brushing and grooming for their health and to prevent shedding in the home.
