Breed Description:

The Bosapso breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Lhasa Apso with the Boston Terrier. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Bosapso will have qualities of both parents. They are usually a toy to small sized breed of dog that should be slightly square in shape with the length equaling the height. The top line is usually level and the dog should be robust and compact. They should be muscular but not too muscualr to appear course. The head should be slightly round in shape and the dog should have the large eyes commonly seen in the Boston Terrier. In addition, the ears are usually large and erect, however, some have the large drop ears seen in the Lhasa Apso. The muzzle is usually short. The tail of the Bosapso is usually long.

The coat of the Bosapso can be anything from the long, silky coat of the Lhasa Apso or the very short coat of the Boston Terrier, however, many of the dogs have a medium length coat that looks wiry in appearance. The overall look is of a very scruffy dog. They can be found in any color common to the parent breeds, however, a black and white or brindled color are one of the more common coat colors.
