Breed Description:

The Bocker breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Cocker Spaniel and the Beagle. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Bocker will have qualities of all the parents.  They are a small sized breed of dog that should have an athletic build without being too course or muscular.  They should be robust with a build that is slightly longer than they are tall. The top line of the Bocker should be level and the head should be broad with large ears that hang down the side of the head. The tail should be long.

The coat of the Bocker is usually a short coat that is very dense and covers the dog completely. The hair should lay flat on the dog and create a smooth line. The texture of the coat should be slightly hard. The Bocker can be found in any colors that are common in the parent breeds but the most common colors are black or black, white and tan tricolor.
