Dog
The Beagleman breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Doberman Pinscher and the Beagle. Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next. Generally, the Beagleman will have qualities of all the parents. They are usually a medium sized breed of dog with a lean and athletic build. They should have a level top line and their overall build should not be too bulky. The breed should have a broad head with high set ears that hang down the side of the head. The tail should be long and some owners opt to have the tail docked.
The coat of the Beagleman is usually a short coat that is very dense and covers the dog completely. The hair should lay flat on the dog, create a smooth line and have a natural shine to it. The texture of the coat should be slightly hard. The Beagleman can be found in any colors that are common in the parent breeds but the most common color is the black with tan points found in the Doberman Pinscher parent.

The standards for all the breeds accepted to the AKC are used here for breed information, and those not part of the AKC are resourced from FCI standard information, where it is written and coded into the club rules for those breeds.
