Breed Description:

The Bagle-Hound breed of dog is a "designer" or mixed breed that was created by crossing the Beagle with the Basset Hound.  Because of this, a breed type has not been established and the looks and temperament of the dog can greatly change from one puppy to the next.  Generally, the Bagle-Hound will have qualities of both parents.  They should be a medium sized dog that greatly resembles their Beagle parent with large, pendulous ears and a well-proportioned square muzzle. The build should be slightly elongated, although not as long as the Basset Hound and they should have the feet of a Basset Hound. The coat of the Bagle-Hound should be short and smooth and should cover the dog completely. It can be found in any color common to the Beagle and Basset Hound including bi-colored and tri-colored with black, white and tan.

The breed should have a square head with long ears and minimal folds. They eyes should be slightly droopy. A deep chest is preferred and feet that tow out like the Basset Hound. The body is a little more compact like that of a Beagle with muscle mass covering the body
