Breed Description: 

The American Blue Gascon Hound breed of dog is a large sized breed of dog that should be a powerful looking dog that is athletic without appearing too muscular. They should have a level top line and a build that is slightly longer than they are tall. The American Blue Gascon Hound should have a broad head and ample facial wrinkles, along with a large flew and dewlap. The tail should be long and the ears should be long and hanging down the side of the head.

The coat of the American Blue Gascon Hound should be short and dense. It should be white with black ticking that creates a blue look to the coat. The breed can have tan points.

Temperament: 
The American Blue Gascon Hound breed of dog is an intelligent and friendly dog that is known for being very affectionate. They are extremely loyal to their family and they thrive when they can be working. The breed is usually easy to train, however, they will follow their nose, heedless of commands or danger. The breed does well with children and usually does well with other dogs, however, they need to be properly socialized to accept other small, non-canine pets.
